EA LESSON #5: Discipline

Discipline is simply choosing what you want most over what you want now.

If you want to bridge the gap between your goals and actually accomplishing them, you have to be fucking disciplined. There's no magic formula, there's no special trick, it's doing what you know you should be doing without fail, every single day.

I can provide you workouts, I can give you a list of supplements to order and teach y0u how to take them, I can show you what to eat and when to eat it until I'm blue in the face, but it's up to you to execute that plan that I give you without exception. I think many people believe they are being disciplined, when in reality, they might be missing multiple meals a day, they may be skipping a workout here and there, they may be eating foods or consuming beverages that aren't on the plan, they might be coming up short on their protein intake more often than not...

The fact of the matter is, that IS NOT DISCIPLINE.

It's very simple: you're either following the plan, or you're not.

I want you to imagine that you're in a sealed glass container and that glass container is slowly filling with water. You start to get a little nervous and you feel your heart rate starting to increase. You look around. You start checking every inch of that box to find a way out. The water is up to your chest now. You slosh from side to side smashing your shoulders against the glass walls in a desperate attempt to break free, but you can't break free. The water is over your head. You try to take small breaths from the tiny bit of space remaining unfilled at the top of that container before it fills up completely. Your lungs are burning now, it's been over a minute without oxygen. You're feeling light headed. You would do anything and give everything in that moment for just one breath of air.

That container is your life and that water drowning you and your goals are every self limiting belief you entertained, every free pass you gave yourself, every lame excuse you used (yes we know it's always somebody's fucking birthday), every line of bullshit you've given to try justify why you haven't accomplished what you said you would. Enough is enough. You don't have any more time to waste, you need to want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe. You need to fucking want this.

So let me give you a little hint: if you want to find discipline, remove any overthinking and simplify the process. You have the plan right in front of you, follow that shit.
